Cam has been working with Travel Alberta for 2 years and has a background in consumer marketing and event marketing. As Manager, Business Development Global Projects, Cam is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with global tour operators, as well as overseeing Travel Alberta's OTA projects. Cam chooses to live in Alberta due to his passion for the outdoors and the people that live in and visit this province. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, fly fishing and camping in the Canadian Rockies. Cam’s Alberta goosebump moment was fly fishing for cutthroat trout in a mountain stream while over 20 bighorn sheep grazing on the rocks directly across, kept him company.
Desiree Gibson Business Development Director, USA
Desiree has been with Travel Alberta since May 2015. As Business Development Director, Desiree is responsible for for introducing the US operators to the amazing experiences available in Alberta for their clients. In addition, Desiree dedicates time to the maintenance of current relationships with operators, always ensuring that we are able to provide new and exciting product for their Alberta programming. When Desiree is in Alberta, her favourite experience is snowshoeing at Lake Louise. A very close second is a delicious Calgary Food Tour! When she is relaxing at home, you can find Desiree outside. She loves to spend her spare time camping, hiking, picnicking or sightseeing. She is incredibly passionate about the outdoors.
Rachel Falcon Marketing Specialist, Business Development USA
Rachel has been with Travel Alberta since 2008, but her Travel Trade career officially began three years ago. As Marketing Specialist, Rachel works to ensure cross-team collaboration through multiple North America projects, assisting with advertising and media buys through creative synergies as well as building new relationships for future partnerships. A born and raised Albertan, Rachel enjoys sharing her love and passion for her home province with visitors and friends alike. Based out of Calgary, she spends her spare time exploring the province with her snowshoes, followed by long dinner with friends. Rachel is always amazed by the opportunities for adventure around every corner and always finds those goosebump moments as she drives into the Waterton Lakes National Park and the entire valley opens onto stunning scenery.
