Homeplace Ranch Offers New Horseback Programs for 2015
Homeplace Ranch, a historic Alberta institution, has announced a trio of exciting new programs for 2015. From April to November, aspiring cowboys and cowgirls can join Mac MaKenny, one of Alberta’s most notable horsemen, at his ranch in the heart of the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains to take part in Alberta’s unique western culture.
The ranch, founded as a homestead in 1912, was previously run as a guest ranch and is now reimagining itself as a base for some incredible half or full day horseback experiences. In addition to the Half-Day Ride, there will now be an opportunity for a Wine & Beer Ride twice a week where guests will be able to ride to a lookout point and enjoy a glass of wine or local beer. The Horse Awareness Program will bring people close to the heart and the art of caring for and communicating with a horse.
